An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
